Carlisle East Fire Station
CARLISLE firefighters were called to an abandoned van that was on fire in a field off the M6.
The white Ford Transit was located between J42 and the Brisco crossroads.
One engine from Carlisle East Fire Station attended at about 11.30pm last night (August 14).
The blaze was extinguished using one hose reel jet and one set of breathing apparatus.
Firefighters were at the scene for about 1 hour.
