Woman's body found on Maryport shoreline
A woman's body has been found on the Maryport shoreline this morning.
Police have confirmed that the body was discovered near the town's golf course just after 9.40am by a member of the public.
Enquiries are ongoing into the incident and a police spokesman said that formal identification has not yet taken place.
The spokesman added: "The incident is being treated as unexplained."
