AN ESKDALE hotel has been placed on the market for £1.48m.

The joint owners of the Woolpack Inn, Harry and Paddington Berger, are selling the property after 21 years.

The Inn offers seven en suite letting bedrooms, a seven-berth log cabin, separate staff accommodation, restaurant and bar space catering for up to 150, spacious beer garden and ample car parking.

“After 21 successful years of running the hotel, and now that their children have left school, the joint owners – Harry and Paddington Berger – have taken the decision to sell this incredibly successful Lakeland coaching inn,” said Neil Thomson, from Colliers International, who is advising the vendors in the sale.

“The Woolpack Inn is located at the foot of The Hardknott Pass, an important hub for the area, generating huge amounts of footfall. not to mention via EskFest, a popular music and beer festival which takes place in July each year, attracting around 2000 festival goers to the site over a four day weekend,” Mr Thomson added.
