Police are investigating a hate crime after a teenager was verbally abused.
The 17-year-old girl was on a bus in Carlisle City Centre, on June, 26, between 3.20pm and 3.40pm, when it happened.
While on the number 61 bus, two women racially abused her.
A spokesman for Cumbria Police said: "The incident involved two women, one of the women was already on the bus at the time and the other got on the bus outside Vue Cinema, on Botchergate with another woman.
"It is at this point where one of the women described as slim build with long black hair is reported to have subjected the girl to racially motivated abuse.
