West Cumbrian based Shepley Group is celebrating a hattrick of prestigious health and safety awards.

Shepley Engineers Ltd and electrical specialist division received the PPS Electrical Ltd have both received the RoSPA Order of Distinction Award for health and safety practices having achieved 23 and 19 consecutive gold awards respectively.

Meanwhile, West Cumberland Engineering Limited received its seventh consecutive RoSPA Gold Medal Award for health and safety practices.

The three companies, which come together to form Shepley Group, received the accolades for their practices and achievements in helping keep their staff and contractors safe.

The world-renowned RoSPA Health and Safety Awards are the longest running industry awards scheme in the UK.

Shepley Group managing director, Nick Houghton, said: “This is a fantastic achievement by all our companies and especially our employees who work very hard to maintain our standards and to introduce innovation to how we manage the safety of our people.

Orders of Distinction and gold medal awards are presented to organisations sustaining the high standards over consecutive years and are awarded across 24 industry sectors including engineering, construction, manufacturing, transport and logistics.
