THE summer holidays are nearly here, but the question on many parents lips will soon turn to what the upcoming school term dates are in Cumbria for 2019/2020.
Though children return to lessons on September 4 after their summer break, Cumbria County Council has published school term and holiday dates for the next academic year.
The autumn term will run from Wednesday, September 4 until Friday, December 20. The autumn half term will take place between Monday, October 21 and Friday, October 25.
Next year, pupils will return to school on Tuesday, January 7, 2020 with the spring term running until Friday, March 27, 2020. Half term will take place between Monday, February 17 and Friday, February 21.
The summer term will kick off on Tuesday, April 14, 2020 until Friday, July 17, 2020. Half term will take place between Monday, May 25 and Friday, May 29. The early May bank holiday is May 4, 2020.
For Easter 2020, Good Friday will be on April 10, with Easter Sunday on April 12, and Easter Monday on April 13.
