Plans have been revealed for 20 new homes near Whitehaven town centre.
A proposal has been submitted by Day Cummins Ltd to build the houses behind Castle Lea, Flatt Walks.
It would include a mix of two and three bedroom properties, with eight two-bedroom and eight three-bedroom homes for sale.
Two houses would be available for affordable rent and another two would be offered for affordable home ownership.
The development would include 48 proposed car parking spaces.
The site is currently a small industrial estate and is mainly used for storage by its tenants.
It is estimated the scheme would create one full-time job.
A highways survey submitted with the application said the increase in traffic would be low and would have little impact on the existing highway network.
