A man has been banned from 89 West Cumbrian shops after trying to steal goods from a DIY store.
West Cumbria Magistrates' Court in Workington heard that Colin Orr tried to take stock worth £272 from the town's B&Q store on June 9.
On the same date, magistrates heard, he was caught in possession of class-B drug cannabis.
Orr, 49, of Blackburn Street, Workington, admitted the offences.
He was given a five-year criminal behaviour order, banning him from entering any of the 50 businesses on the Workington Shopwatch scheme or any of the 39 on its Whitehaven counterpart.
Magistrates also imposed a 16-week curfew from 5pm to 7am, and ordered Orr to pay £85 costs and an £85 surcharge.
