A day of fun will take place in Wetheral to support the work of Carlisle Refugee Action Group.
The event, which will take place on August 18, will have a multitude of activities to get involved in.
For the children, there will be a bouncy castle, face painting, and sports.
Syrian refugees will also be cooking, dancing, and doing henna throughout the day.
Alison Pate, organiser of the event, said: “I have worked with the families for about a year now, looking after the children while the parents have English lessons.
“I wanted to do more to help CRAG and all the brilliant work they do.
“They are always needing funds to support their work and I thought a funday would not only hopefully raise funds and awareness, but it would be a really nice social event for everyone.”
For the adults, there will be yoga classes, entertainment, and plenty of good food - cake, vegan food, and ice cream.
Provided that the weather is good, there will also be a BBQ.
Local businesses and crafters will have the opportunity to sell their products on stalls on Wetheral Village Green.
