A POPULAR Carlisle city centre restaurant has closed.
The Script @ No. 4, in the historic Greenmarket area, shut recently.
It opened in 2015 in a grade-II listed building that used to be home to a pharmacy for more than 100 years.
A sign has gone up in the window informing customers of the closure, thanking them - and telling of the owners’ hopes for the future.
It states: “We have decided to have more family time and pursue new opportunities.
“Our business next door remains open and we look forward to incorporating our new ideas into our takeaway business.
“For those of you who might have The Script vouchers, we will be honouring these next door at La Baguette Bar until September 1.
“We would like to thank all our customers who have dined with us over the years.”
