AN HISTORICAL medieval battle will take place this weekend on Silloth’s Rugby ground.

The Ragnarock Border Brawl, hosted by The Northern Wolves, will take at Silloth Rugby Park, tomorrow starting from 10.45am.

It is an historical medieval battle tournament involving men’s pro fights, 5v5 Bohurt, women’s pro fights and 3v3 Bohurt.

The day will kick off at 10.45am with the women’s pro fights followed by the female 3v3 group fights category before breaking for lunch.

The men’s pro fights are due to take place from 1.30pm followed by the 5v5 group fights.

Kirsty Ann Langley, vice captain of The Northern Wolves, said: “We have teams coming from all over the country and even some from Ireland and Scotland. The local team is the Northern Wolves.

“The sport has been around for a number of years and continues to grown within the UK year-on-year - this year the UK took home medals from across the international stage.”

Steven Robinson, captain of The Northern Wolves, added: “This is our second time at Silloth. We were invited back by the Exiles Bikers Club.

“We’re excited and can’t wait to hold this tournament on home turf - the north.”

Camping is available the night before and after the event.
