Police are investigating a hit-and-run incident in Carlisle.
Cumbria Police have released details of the collision, which happened at 6.45pm on Tuesday.
A car hit a dog, killing it, on Regent Street near to the junction of Hasell Street.
A spokesman for the police force said: " A small car, described as dark in colour, collided with a dog which was fatally injured.”
