Prizes to be won as Bonny Babies return

Our popular contest opens on Monday, and photographers will be visiting venues across the north and west of the county over the next few weeks, so book your appointment now.

This year’s prizes are again being provided by the Gretna Gateway Outlet Village.

Each section winner will receive a £150 voucher for shops at the Gretna Gateway Outlet Village. Second prizes will be £100 vouchers; third prize-winners will receive £75 vouchers while the fourth prize winner will collect vouchers for £50; with three fifth prizes of vouchers for £25.

There are separate sections for boys and girls aged from one year to the date of the third birthday and a section for younger children from four months to the date of the first birthday.

Entry is only by prints from accredited photographers listed on this page. By agreement they will take one 8” x 6” colour picture at a cost of £6. This includes the entry fee of £2 - to cover administration costs - and the cost of the sitting. Photographers will submit the pictures - which are non-returnable - together with the official entry form, which is obtainable only on their premises.

Sittings start on Monday. Last date for pictures to be taken is Sunday, August 11. Photographers quickly get heavily committed so please book early.

Again, you can help to judge the winners by voting for your favourites. Watch out for details of how to register your votes once all the photographs have been published.

Our judges, a representative of the News & Star, and Naomi Warwick of Gretna Gateway Outlet Village, will then face the difficult task of selecting the winners from the finalists. Watch out for further details of how to take part. Families of employees of Newsquest Cumbria are not eligible to enter.
