A WORKINGTON man has been banned for two years after he was found almost three times over the drink-drive limit.

Steven Robert Wilson, 52, of Clay Street, admitted drink-driving and failing to stop after an accident when he appeared at the magistrates' court in Workington on Friday.

The court heard that on May 24 Wilson drove on Clay Street with 100mcg of alcohol in 100ml of breath - the legal limit is 35.

Magistrates also heard he failed to stop after an accident where damage was caused to another car and a tree.

As well as the ban, Wilson was tagged for four months and ordered to pay £85 court costs and £85 to fund victim services.
