THE story of how love was found in a World War One munitions work is being told in Britain’s marriage capital.

An exhibition from the Devil’s Porridge Museum at Eastriggs has set up temporary home at the Gables Hotel in Gretna until the end of the month.

It tells the story of couples who found love in HM Factory Gretna.

Museum manager Judith Hewitt said: “There are some great stories, including jealous wives, bigamous marriages and love amidst the factory fumes. There are also tales of tragedy and loss.”
