A further arrest has been made following an assault in Whitehaven which left a man with serious head injuries.
Police were called to College Street just after 3.20am on Friday.
A 30-year-old man from West Yorkshire, suffered serious head injuries and remains in the Cumberland Infirmary, Carlisle, in a stable condition.
A 23-year-old-man from Whitehaven, has been arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm. He remains in police custody.
Two men, aged 44 and 35, who were arrested on Friday, on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm, have been released under investigation.
Police are continuing to appeal for witnesses, or anyone with information, to come forward.
