Christmas has come early for Westlife fans. Brian McFadden is appearing in Carlisle for an event called The Big Christmas Cracker, and tickets go on sale today.

McFadden was a member of the chart-topping Irish boy band from its formation in 1998 until his departure in 2004.

During his time in Westlife the band had 11 number one singles in the UK, including Flying Without Wings, I Have A Dream, Uptown Girl and Mandy.

Since leaving Westlife, McFadden has released five solo albums. He has appeared on numerous reality TV shows, including Channel 4’s The Jump in 2016 and Dancing on Ice this year. He finished in fourth place.

McFadden will be performing Westlife hits at The Big Christmas Cracker, which is a Lee Brennan Entertainment event.

Lee, from Carlisle, is the singer with chart-topping boy band 911. He said: “I’m really excited about The Big Christmas Cracker. It will be a fantastic night.

“I wanted to do something special for the start of the Christmas party season and offer great entertainment.

“There is a lot of love in Carlisle for Brian McFadden because of the Westlife connection.

“Also performing are Carlisle’s Jersey Boy favourites Big Guys Don’t Cry, plus party DJs Amp & Dex. We are anticipating a sell out when tickets go on sale.”

The Big Christmas Cracker takes place at The Shepherds, Rosehill, Carlisle, on Friday November 29 at 7pm.

Tickets will be available at www.LeeBrennan.com from 9.30am on Saturday.
