A man who deliberately breached a restraining order has been put behind bars.
Christopher Paul McKenzie, 32, appeared at West Cumbria Magistrates' Court in Workington.
The court heard that, on May 26, McKenzie had gone without reasonable excuse to an address in Keswick and made contact with a woman he was prohibited from contacting.
District Judge Gerald Chalk was told that it was a deliberate breach, and was the third time in 12 months that McKenzie, of Old Forge Court, Albert Street, Penrith, had broken the terms of the order, and he had an inability to co-operate with the restrictions previously laid down by the court.
He was jailed for 70 days and ordered to pay £115 towards victim services.
McKenzie was jailed for a further 30 days for non-payment of a court fine.
