Eleven jobs have been created at a new parts centre in Carlisle.

TrustFord has opened its brand PartsPlus Centre at the Denton Holme Trading Estate, and is a member of Ford of Britain’s new wholesale parts network.

Stuart Foulds, chairman and chief executive of TrustFord, officially opened the premises this month, accompanied by Kevin Magee, general manager.

PartsPlus Centres provide services to support the sale of trade parts from Ford, Motorcraft and Omnicraft, directly to franchise groups, independent repairers and body shops.

It also offers a delivery service of under an hour to customers within 30 minutes of the centre.

The company said the new Carlisle site represents an investment of £441,000 with 5,400 square feet of space.

Mr Foulds said: “I am very proud to open this new Parts Plus Centre in Carlisle. It’s a key milestone in our network-wide investment in Ford of Britain’s wholesale parts initiative, giving us the scale and resources to meet our customers’ parts needs.”

Mr Magee added: “This new Parts Plus Centre will enable us to provide a truly excellent parts service to the Carlisle area.

“The space and capacity will allow our colleagues to deliver their very best.

“I’d like to thank colleagues who have worked hard to get the site ready to open and I look forward to working with them in the new space.”

There are currently 12 PartsPlus Centres across England, Northern Ireland and Scotland. TrustFord will be officially opening three more sites over the next six months, including two in Scotland – Glasgow and Dundee.
