FREE dog microchipping sessions are being held in Carlisle communities.
Carlisle City Council has teamed up with The Dogs Trust to offer events in Harraby and Petteril Bank.
The team offer free on-the-spot microchipping for dogs that aren’t yet chipped, which is a legal requirement, and advice on changing microchip details.
A veterinary nurse will carry out the basic health checks including nail clipping, eye, ear, teeth and weight checks, as well as offering advice on diet, training and neutering.
Each owner will be provided with a responsible dog ownership pack.
The events take place at Harraby Community Centre on June 3 and Petteril Bank Community Centre on July 15. Both sessions run from 11am to 3pm.
No appointment will be needed at the drop ins, but dogs should be on leads.
