Hordes of teenage Vampettes are set to invade next week.

The fans of the boyband The Vamps will gather at The Sand Centre on Monday as the band hit Carlisle with their Four Corners tour. and a radical new sound.

Their recent single Right Now sees the four piece moving in a different direction, collaborating with Krept & Konan.

James McVey, Tristan Evans, Connor Ball and Brad Simpson met the rappers at a party and got on so well that they decided to get together.

Brad said of the song: “It is very special, we’ve written and produced it ourselves, so it’s more nerve wracking than ever.

“It’s a really honest portrayal of where we are and the song has come from a very honest part of ourselves.”

As well as creating hit songs, the band has also found time to turn into TV stars.

Tristan added: “It has a completely different sound to what people are used to, it’s very different, but it’s cool different, and it has a different vibe.”

The track is on their EP Missing You, which was released last month.

They both feature on the setlist for their performances, along with Just My Type, Personal, Wild Heart and For You.

The band have scored five Top 10 singles and and a No1 album, but as well as making hits, they’ve also found time to become TV stars.

In 2016 Brad went on Celebrity First Dates, while James took part in the latest series of I’m a Celebrity and became big mates with eventual winner Harry Redknapp.

They’re now on the UK leg of a world tour and are selling some of their tour instruments to raise funds for the Teenage Cancer Trust.
