Break your fast and learn about Ramadan at a community event in Carlisle.
A community Iftaar event will take place in Petteril Bank Community Hall, in Burnett Road, on Tuesday evening giving the Muslim community the chance to break their fast with non-Muslims.
It is an opportunity to learn about the month of Ramadan, what it means to Muslims, and to get to know the local community.
Nicole Cottingham, community development worker at AWAZ, said: “Food welcomes people to move past the boundaries of language, religion or culture and unite in their commonality. It’s also just a more enjoyable way of getting to know each other and a great opportunity to learn from one other. Do come along - everyone is welcome.”
It runs from 8pm to 10pm.
