People are invited to take part in a walk on Saturday, May 11 to help raise funds and awareness for human rights.
Amnesty West Cumbria will hold the Walk for Life event, which begins at 10am.
Walkers will set out from Whitehaven's Market Place to walk to St Bees and back along the St Bees valley.
There will be refreshment breaks along the way, along with the chance to chat to the other walkers.
Participants can seek sponsorship for taking part in the event or can just join in to help raise awareness of attacks on human rights such as the high-profile case of Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe, a British-Iranian woman held by Iranian authorities who started a hunger strike after her interrogators tried to persuade her to become a spy.
