A child was treated by paramedics after an accident in Carlisle.
Passing motorists feared the youngster, who was riding a bicycle, may have been struck by a car on London Road.
However, a Cumbria Police spokesman confirmed that there were no other vehicles involved.
"We were called at 8.03am to reports a child had come off their bike," he said.
"It appears they hit a kerb and went over the handlebars. No other vehicle was involved.
"The child was checked by paramedics and there are no serious injuries."
There were minor delays on London Road as traffic passed the accident, but the road was not blocked.
