Police were called to a golf course in Carlisle after a body was discovered.
Officers were called shortly before 12pm today to Stony Holme golf course, near Brunton Park.
The body has been identified as that of a man's, however, no further details have been released by the force.
A police spokesperson told the News & Star: "Police were called to a report of the sudden death of a male at Stony Holme golf course, Carlisle today at 11:57am."
They added: "Enquiries are ongoing at this time."
The front nine holes of the course are closed.
In an update, the police spokesperson added: "There are no suspicious circumstances at this time."
