A Maryport man who drove a motorcycle while over the drink-drive limit has been banned.
William James Bower, 22, of Ellenfoot Drive, pleaded guilty to the offence when he appeared at the magistrates' court in Workington on Friday.
The court heard Bower drove a Keeway Superlight 125 motorcycle on Curzon Street on March 24.
He was found with 57 mcg of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath, the limit being 35 mcg.
Bower was banned for 16 months but if he successfully completes a drink-driver rehabilitation course his ban could be reduced by 16 weeks.
He was also fined £106 and ordered to pay £85 costs and £30 victim surcharge.
