Plans have been revealed to transform a former Whitehaven doctor's surgery into flats.
An application to convert the former Catherine Street Surgery into six apartments has been submitted to Copeland Council.
The doctor's surgery closed in 2016 and patients were moved to the nearby Whitehaven Medical Centre which also shut last year.
Plans have now been lodged by Remarkable Property Investments LLP, to create five one-bedroom flats and a two-bedroom flat in the empty building.
A small extension would be built above the single storey part of the building to the side of the surgery. New windows would also be installed and the front door replaced.
The three ground floor apartments would be designed to enable disabled access.
Parking spaces are not included as part of the scheme, although there is currently provision for three cars in bays outside the building and room for another seven vehicles on the road.
The application says: "The conversion of No.3 Catherine Street will make a significant contribution to Whitehaven town centre, by providing six much-needed new dwellings.
"The proposed alterations to the building are intended to improve its appearance and would be of benefit to the character and appearance of the area."
