Three fire crews were called after a crash on the M6 this morning.
Emergency services were called to the northbound entry slip road at junction 41 at about 6am after reports of a one vehicle crash.
One lane was consequently closed on the slip road, with speed restrictions in place between Junction 41 (Catterlen) and Junction 42 (Carlisle South).
The driver of the vehicle involved had got out himself out of the car by the time firefighters had arrived.
Crews attended from Carlisle East Fire Station and two from Penrith Fire Station.
A spokesman for Cumbria Fire and Rescue said: "The man suffered minor injuries but was out of the vehicle on arrival and handed over to paramedics."
