A MAN charged with being in possession of an imitation machine gun is due to appear at Carlisle Crown Court.
Robin William Hunter is alleged to have had the imitation firearm with him outside the Premier Inn in Penrith on March 12.
The charge alleges it was a fake MP5 sub machine gun.
Hunter, 46, of Champions Way, Penrith, is due to appear at the crown court on May 7.
He was granted unconditional bail until then.
