A NEW playground will open in Warwick on Eden, near Carlisle, next month - in time for the Easter holidays.
The playground is situated behind The Queens pub in the centre of the village.
It can be used by everyone, not just customers of the pub. And there is parking beside the play area.
A spokesman for the pub said: “Good news for all those wondering when the local playground behind us will reopen.
“The new High Sheriff of Cumbria, Marcia Reid Fotheringham, will be visiting on Monday, April 1 from 11am to officially open the play area.
“This now includes a French style boules court.
“It’s the start of the school Easter holidays so please bring the whole family along.”
Light refreshments will be available and a small competition will take place where you can win a voucher for a meal at the Queens.
The pub was awarded five stars in its hygiene rating.
