Fire crews tackled an apartment blaze in Tebay last night.

Two fire engines from Kendal and Shap rushed to Lune Valley, Tebay shortly after 6pm yesterday evening to tackle a fire that had broken out in a flat.

Firefighters used breathing apparatus, a thermal imaging camera, positive pressure ventilation and a hose reel jet to extinguish the blaze.

The fire was brought under control and the scene made safe before the two crews departed.
