Penrith-based Andrew Beatty has been named the North West winner of the Heating Installer Awards.

Mr Beatty, of Greenfields Heat & Power Ltd, will now go forward to represent the region at the national awards.

He is up against 10 other heating installers.

Now in their fourth year, the awards recognise plumbers and heating installers who deliver excellent customer service.

Judges said Mr Beatty was a stand-out entry and they were impressed with his renewable technology work in particular.

Mr Beatty said: “I am very happy and proud to receive this prestigious award in recognition of the quality heating installation work, from design through to commissioning, delivered by myself and my knowledgeable, technically skilled and experienced team at Greenfields Heat and Power Ltd.

“Delivering a renewable future is our motto, and it’s great to see this kind of sustainable work getting the recognition it deserves.”

The judges’ scores for the finalists will be carried forward to the next round, in which all 11 regional finalists will complete a peer-reviewed technical challenge.

The finalists’ scores for this, together with the public vote and judges’ scores, will decide the national winner, who will be announced at Installer2019, the UK’s national plumbing and heating show in May.
