How they met: On a works Christmas night out in 2013.

Proposal: On October 10, 2015 on a trip to Rome for Stephanie’s birthday.

Stag & hen celebrations: The hen party went to the Costa Brava and the stag party was held in Edinburgh.

Venue: Roundthorn Country House, Penrith.

Theme: Sparkle.

Bride’s outfit: A Rebecca Ingram lace gown with added sparkle tulle from Te Amo Bridal, Workington.

Hair & beauty: Adore Hair & Beauty, Wigton.

Groomsmen: Robert Reay, groom’s best friend, was best man. Hayden Dixon, bride’s son, was ring bearer. Oliver and Finley Carruthers, couple’s twin sons, were page boys.

Bridesmaids: Bethany Dixon, bride’s daughter; Charlotte, Kaitlin and Sophie Watters, nieces, were all bridesmaids. Holly Crellin, daughter of the bride’s best friend, was flower girl.

Flowers: Forrester’s Flowers, Mealsgate.

Reception: An afternoon reception for 80 guests followed by an evening reception with a further 50 guests.

Table settings: Martini vases filled with beads and LED lights topped with flowers by Forrester Flowers, displayed on mirrors with diamantés supplied by Special Events Wedding Décor.

Favours: Mini wedding Yankee Candles in organza bags for women and scratch cards for men. Children had their names made out of crayons.

Cake: A three-tier cake made by the bride’s sister Joanne Watters.

First dance: Thinking Out Loud by Ed Sheeran.

Entertainment: Touch of Class Disco, Penrith.

Honeymoon: Cancun, Mexico.

Other details: Special Events Wedding Décor supplied all the décor. A photobooth was supplied by Memories Cumbria and a chocolate fountain by Chocolate Eruptions. The bride and groom used their own candy cart and post box.

The bride is the daughter of Stephen and Anne Bainbridge and the groom is the son of Mike and Anne Carruthers.
