Junction 44 M6 Motorway for Carlisle North
Police have named the pedestrian who died after being hit by a lorry on the M6.
Dylan Murphy, 19, of Gretna, died on Friday evening.
The family have been informed.
The 19-year-old was until last Thursday afternoon described as being in a "critical condition but stable", but officers have confirmed that Mr Murphy passed away on Friday night in the Royal Victoria Infirmary in Newcastle.
It happened in the area of junction 44 at Kingstown.
*Anyone who witnessed this incident and has yet to contact police is asked to get in touch referencing incident 40 of February 23 2019.
