The robbery, which took place on Crown Street just off Botchergate in the early hours of Tuesday morning, is currently under investigation by Cumbria Police.

About £200 was taken from the victim who also had her phone taken in an attack that left her with minor injuries, according to a police spokeswoman.

This robber also wore a distinctive royal blue thigh-length wool coat, with toggle fastenings, dark blue jeans, and black shoes.

The second suspect, also in her 30s, is described as white, about 5ft 6ins tall, and with a medium build.

Her hair was in a pony tail and she was wearing black clothing.

The attack took place between 12.15am and 1am on Tuesday morning, as the victim walked under the railway bridge passing over Crown Street.
