HOW THEY MET: At Aspatria YFC’s harvest dance in October 2008.

PROPOSAL: On the way back from a break in Harrogate in 2017 they stopped for a picnic at Coniston Water and Edwin proposed on the lakeside.

STAG & HEN CELEBRATIONS: Weekend in Belfast and night out in Carlisle for the hens and a weekend in London and Dalston Show for the stags.

VENUE: Scaleby Church.

THEME: Country rustic with a touch of love and autumnal colours.

BRIDE’S OUTFIT: The wedding dress and veil were from I Do, Cockermouth.

HAIR & BEAUTY: Hair was by Lindsy Brown from Brown Hair with make-up by Jessica from Jessica Cant make-up.

GROOMSMEN: Best man was Ian Steel, friend of the groom. Ushers were John Brough, groom’s friend, and Neil Thomlinson, the bride’s brother. Ted Skelton, the bride’s godson was page boy.

BRIDESMAIDS: Sarah Scott and Katie Maw, bride’s friends, and Joanne Holliday, the groom’s sister were bridesmaids. Emily Nicol, bride’s goddaughter, was flower girl.

FLOWERS: Bouquets and buttonholes were by Sophie Brooksbank, Flowers by Sophie. Church flowers were also done by Sophie with help from Annie Robinson, the bride’s grandmother.

TRANSPORT: David Thomlinson, the bride’s uncle and godfather and Ryan Bird, friend of the bride and groom supplied the wedding cars.

RECEPTION: An afternoon reception for 100 guests was held at the Round thorn Country House, Penrith followed by an evening reception for 200 guests.

TABLE SETTINGS: Tables were named after field names on the groom’s family farm. Centrepieces were wooden logs, supplied by Cath Gregory from It’s the Wood, Talkin with a gin bottle and jam jars filled with flowers from Sophie.

FAVOURS: Chocolates from Saunders Chocolates, Crofton

CATERING: The Red Radish Company supplied an ice cream van at the reception.

CAKE: A three tier wedding cake made and decorated by Judith Robinson, the bride’s aunt.

ENTERTAINMENT: Adam Teasdale, singer and DJ.

HONEYMOON: Dublin.
