RESIDENTS in one Carlisle street were celebrating after receiving the new that had each scooped £1,000.
The Beaumont Road neighbours landed were told yesterday their lucky postcode, CA2 4RQ, came up trumps and was announced as a Daily Prize winner in the People's Postcode Lottery.
Judie McCourt, People's Postcode Lottery ambassador, said: “What a terrific Tuesday for all our winners in Carlisle who have picked up a prize. It’s always lovely to see neighbours win together and I hope they treat themselves to something nice with the windfall.”
Local charities are being reminded they can apply for funding of £500 up to £20,000. A minimum of 32 per cent of ticket sales goes directly to charities and the People’s Postcode Lottery has raised £393m to date.
