A man who stole a laptop, food and other items from a man in Workington has been put behind bars.
Darren Michael Hilland, 38, appeared at West Cumbria Magistrates Court.
Magistrates heard that, on February 12, Hilland stole the good, of an unknown value and, on or around the same date, tried to take other items from a second person.
The offences were committed while he was subject to a community order for a previous theft offence.

The court also heard that, on February 13, Hilland, was found in possession of a quantity of class-B amphetamine.
He admitted that offence, for which he was given no separate penalty.
