POLICE have started an investigation after an HGV driver was assaulted in Carlisle.
The event took place on Tuesday, January 22 at The Golden Fleece Station, at junction 42, by the M6 between 5am and 6.30am.
A man approached a HGV before assaulting the driver inside.
Anyone who witnessed or has any information regarding the incident, should contact police on 101 quoting log 21 of January 22.
