Great North Run.
A charity is looking for swimmers and runners to help raise vital funds to support unpaid carers in West Cumbria.
Cockermouth- based West Cumbria Carers has five guaranteed places for both the Great North Run and the Great North Swim.
The run takes place on Sunday, September 8, and is one of the most popular half marathons in the world. Approximately 56,000 took part last year.
The swim is Europe’s biggest open-water swimming event and takes place on June 7 to 9. Almost 10,000 swimmers took part in the event last year at Brockhole on Windermere.
