A rescue operation was launched after a horse became trapped in deep mud in Cumbria.
It happened in a field at Ravenstonedale, near Kirkby Stephen, just after 5pm yesterday.
The horse had become trapped in a deep, muddy bog.
Firefighters from Kirby Stephen and Kendal came to its rescue.
They also requested the Cumbria Fire and rescue service 4x4 from Sedbergh due to terrain and location of incident.
The crews used large animal rescue equipment, along with digging out techniques.
Mountain rescue team volunteers also attended, along with a vet.
They were at the scene for about two hours.
