A GOLF club says it is delighted to be ranked the 25th best course in one of the UK’s leading magazines.
Golf World Magazine decided to place Silloth-on-Solway’s course 25th out of 100 golf courses in England.
The club’s secretary Alan Oliver said: “This is great for the golf club and we can use this to attract more people to us.
“When you look at the other courses on the list, they’re much bigger with bigger reputations so to be linked with them is fantastic.”
All members of the course are proud to be ranked highly, but coming out on top is something that is not new to them.
The course is often recognised by the magazine as being a course worth visiting.
“Being ahead of some of the other courses on that list really puts things into perspective.
“We’re very lucky to be included in the list,” added Alan.
