Drink landed an offshore marine engineer in court following incidents in Annan High Street last weekend.
For the 32-year-old became aggressive assaulted one man and made offensive remarks to police officers.
In the court – at Dumfries – Hastie, of Wood Avenue, Annan, admitted behaving in a threatening or abusive manner at the High Street, making offensive remarks to another and challenging him to fight.
He also pleaded guilty to assaulting the other man and repeatedly punching him n the face and kicking im on the body and behaving in a threatening or abusive manner and making offensive remarks towards a police officer.
Solicitor Roger Colledge said Hastie had been drinking most of the day and realised he shouldn’t have got himself into such a state.
Sheriff Brian Mohan told Hastie that his record was of concern and called for background reports.
Sentence was deferred to March 6.
