A CYCLIST has been seriously injured after an early-morning crash involving a van in Carlisle.
The incident occurred at the mini roundabout outside PC World on Parkhouse Road, Carlisle, just before 6am this morning (Thursday, January 17).
The driver of the Ford Transit Van was uninjured.
A Cumbria Police spokeswoman said: "The cyclist, a local man in his 40s, received serious injuries, not believed to be life-changing.
"The road was closed for around an hour whilst emergency services attended the scene."
Police are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident, or anyone in the area at the time who has dashcam footage to get in touch with police.
Those with information should call 101, quoting log number 30 of January 17.
