A CARLISLE man accused of a shop burglary and fraudulent use of a credit card has appeared at the city's crown court.
Mark George Kenney, 39, faces four charges which arise out of alleged incidents on September 6 last year.
One alleges that Kenney burgled a Carlisle pet shop by entering as a trespasser and stealing a purse, cash, driving licence and credit card. The remaining three charges allege that he committed fraud by making separate false representations using the credit card to make gains of £13.99, £28.10 and £26.70.
During a short crown court hearing earlier today (WED), Kenney pleaded not guilty to all four charges.
He is now due to go on trial at the crown court in front of a jury in the week of February 4.
In the meantime Kenney, of Warwick Road, Carlisle, was granted conditional bail by Judge James Adkin.
