A Carlisle woman has been banned by a Sheriff from entering Dumfries and Galloway until the outcome of a case in which she admitted two charges of shoplifting.

Jaime Robinson, 40, of Tindale Drive, Carlisle, was told by Sheriff George Jamieson at Dumfries that she could only enter the region in connection with the court case or to meet her solicitor.

She admitted stealing a quantity of air fresheners at the Saver shop in Church Crescent in Dumfries and also at the nearby Debenhams store on January 2.

In addition she admitted having in her possession 2 foil line bags from which it might reasonably be inferred that she intended to commit theft.

The court was told that she had a previous conviction and sentence was deferred for background reports to February 13.
