Workington Reds manager Gavin Skelton has resigned from the club - after two matches in charge.

The announcement, which has been confirmed by the club on their Twitter account, was made immediately after their 1-1 draw at Stafford Rangers.

His first, and only other, match in charge of Reds in his second spell was a 2-1 home defeat to Stalybridge Celtic on New Year's Day.

The 37-year-old, from Kirkby Thore near Penrith, left his role at Carlisle United to return to Borough Park for his second spell in charge on December 31.
