Failing to co-operate with a drug test after being caught using a vehicle without insurance in Cockermouth landed a Keswick man before a judge.
Kelvin James Hughes, 29, of Latrigg Close, appeared before District Judge Gerald Chalk at West Cumbria Magistrates Court.
Judge Chalk was told that Hughes had used a vehicle on Kirkgate in Cockermouth on December 8 without insurance.
He had also failed, without reasonable excuse, to co-operate with a preliminary drug test as required by the Road Traffic Act 1988.
Hughes pleaded guilty to both offences.
He was fined £300, £85 costs and a £30 surcharge.
