VANDALS left a list of their names when they targeted a Lake District mountain hut.

The graffiti, which also included explicit images and rude words, is thought to have been left at the Lingy Hut, near Knott fell, on Christmas Day.

Members of the Northern Fells Running Club have since sanded off the damage, when they completed their traditional run out to the hut for festive drinks and nibbles on December 30.

But anyone with information is urged to contact police to catch those responsible.

Gateway To The Lakes said on Twitter: "Do you know this list of names and nicknames? Were your friends at the Lingy Hut on Christmas Day 2018?"

Contact Cumbria Police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111 with any information.
