A FATHER and son from Carlisle have appeared in court - both accused of conspiring to supply heroin.
Stuart Lee Hardy, 48, and Stuart Brian Hardy, 27, are two of three people charged with similar alleged offending during a period spanning almost 10 months.
The third is a 47-year-old woman from West Cumbria, Avril Kay Fallows.
All appeared, separately, in front of District Judge Gerald Chalk at Carlisle Magistrates' Court this morning (Thursday, December 27, 2018).
Stuart Lee Hardy and Stuart Brian Hardy both face one charge.
This alleges conspiracy to supply class A heroin.
Fallows, too, faces that allegation and also a second charge - alleged possession of heroin with intent to supply it to another, on October 4.
No pleas were indicated to any of the charges by any of the defendants during their respective hearings.
District Judge Chalk directed that all three should appear at Carlisle Crown Court on January 10.
Until then Stuart Lee Hardy, of Yewdale Road, Carlisle, and Stuart Brian Hardy, who has a prison address, were remanded in custody by the district judge.
Fallows, of Wedgwood Road, Flimby, was granted bail.
